As part of a group-wide continuous improvement programme, a major utilities company engaged Evaxyx to provide the expertise they needed to realise their strategic objective of managing data as a critical business asset.

Using the Evaxyx Delivery Method, Evaxyx established a data governance framework, at the heart of which is the central Data Model.  This model had to encompass the entire business and was designed to be understood by all; it promoted a common language and a shared understanding even to those unfamiliar with IT terms or ‘data’.  Its aim was to achieve clarity, engagement and consensus throughout the organisation.  The data governance framework including the model and its supporting policies were rolled out to all staff through a training programme planned to ensure buy-in.
