Guide Dogs For The Blind

Below are some of the events we've taken part in to raise money for the charity, and some of the dogs we have sponsored.

The Berlin Marathon
26th September 2010
Adam Prentis the CEO of Evaxyx and some of the Evaxyx  team ran in the Berlin Marathon last weekend raising more than £5,000 for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Adam, crossed the finishing line in 3 hours, 43 minutes and 35 seconds. Two Evaxyx colleagues also joined him on his latest challenge: David Montgomery, (34), who completed the run in 4 hours, 40 minutes and 13 seconds, and Laura Leahy (27), who finished in 5 hours, 53 minutes and 44 seconds.
 
The New York Marathon
1st November 2009
Adam Prentis continued his 2009 running programe by taking on the New York marathon, one of the largest in the world!
Despite suffering with injuries that stopped him training for two weeks Adam completed the course in a time of 3:46:57, an excellent time for a "novice"! Adam raised almost £7,000 for his nominated charity, Marie Curie.
 
 
The Great North Run
20th September 2009
Adam Prentis ran his first half-marathon at the Great North Run (in preparation for the New York marathon). He acheived a very respectable time of 1:45:41 and managed to raise enough funding for a further guide dog.
 
 
The Sahara Desert Challenge
8th - 15th April 2006

In association with Across the Divide Expeditions, Evaxyx organised a sponsored trek into the Sahara desert in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind. This was a 7 day trek across the sand dunes of the largest desert in the world. Many thanks to everyone for your support leading up to the event. To date we have raised approximately £25,000 which enables us to sponsor 5 guide dogs.
